The 29 winners of the 2025 American Society of Landscape Architects, New York Design Awards have been named by an invited jury from the ASLA’s Florida chapter after receiving a record-setting number of submissions.
The select group includes the Field Operations-led comprehensive redevelopment of a former elevated highway into the Presidio Tunnel Tops in San Francisco as the only Award of Excellence winner. The jury said: “Rooted in a philosophy of renewal and resilience, Presidio Tunnel Tops exemplifies sustainability through its thoughtful use of reclaimed materials, water-conscious planting, and low-impact construction. Rather than imposing on the landscape, it regenerates it—setting a new standard for public space that is enduring, inclusive, and ecologically attuned to the future.”
You can see the full list of winners below in their respective categories. The 2025 Design Awards Ceremony will be held on April 24th at the Arsenal in Central Park before a special one-day exhibit of their work in Midtown as part of the NYC DOT’s celebratory Car-free Earth Day event on April 26th.
