The women’s T20 World Cup will be expanded to 16 teams in 2030. The aim of these two new tournaments is to help high level associate teams to bridge the gap and be competitive in the expanded world cup. From what we know so far : the Emerging Nations Trophy will consists of the 8 highest ranked associate teams in the WT20I rankings table.
