A Cozy Michigan Weekend: Vintage Shopping in an Old Schoolhouse!

This past weekend was one of those soul-filling, heartwarming weekends that remind me why I love simple moments, beautiful spaces, and quality time with family. Sometimes, the best weekends aren’t packed with grand plans but instead filled with intentional little joys—like strolling through a vintage mercantile. Our weekend started with a trip to Farmer Grey’s Vintage Mercantile in Battle Creek, Michigan. If you haven’t been, let me tell you—this place is an absolute dream. Nestled inside an old schoolhouse, it’s a haven for vintage lovers like myself.

The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warmest energy, as if the walls themselves could tell stories of treasures past. Each piece inside is curated so beautifully, and the styling? Absolutely to perfection. Every time I visit, I find myself saying, Why don’t I come here more often? Because truly, if you’re looking for cozy, unique finds to fill your home with character and charm, this is the place. Vintage linens, weathered woods, the softest hues—every corner is pure inspiration, and I left feeling so creatively refreshed (and with a few treasures in hand, of course!).

Now we’re back to the start of a new week, and I’m feeling grateful for the simple joys that make life feel so full. Vintage treasures, nature’s wonders, and time well spent—what more could a cozy-loving heart ask for? I hope your weekend was filled with beautiful little moments too.

Let’s carry this warmth into the week ahead. For more daily inspiration, you can always find me here.

Xx,
Liz Marie
